Solar Bay
The interest in renewable energy sources has never been greater.  Solar energy is especially popular today, thanks in part to the solar tax incentives, grants and rebates available to building owners. Metal roofing and wall systems are an excellent platform for solar energy technologies. To showcase the benefits of metal roof and wall systems in this field, METALCON introduced “SOLAR BAY” at the Tampa show.

The SOLAR BAY is an educational area on the show floor featuring full scale mock-ups and educational forums of a variety of solar technologies that can be integrated with metal into the building envelope.  Presentation topics include a) Rooftop-Mounted Solar Power systems, b) Solar Heat Recovery systems on Roof and Walls, c) Solar-Thermal Water Heating technologies, and d) , Federal, State and Local Solar Energy Funding Incentives.  

Many of the METALCON exhibitors are involved in solar technologies that will be exhibited at the SOLAR BAY.  After an in-depth explanation of these systems, you can visit and talk with metal roof and metal wall manufacturers who are selling into this growing and exciting market.
